Phelan, CA (April 17, 2024) – Tommy Solis (27) of Phelan and another driver died in a Phelan car crash after colliding head-on along Phelan Road, just east of Tumbleweed Road. According to the Victorville Daily Press, the crash occurred at around 8:15 p.m. on Sunday.

Tommy Solis, 27, of Phelan, and another driver died in a Phelan car crash where two vehicles collided head-on along Phelan Road, just east of Tumbleweed Road, as confirmed by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Xavier Rodriguez, Tommy Solis was driving a 2015 Subaru Forester west along Phelan Road when an eastbound 2018 GMC Yukon veered across the roadway and collided head-on with his vehicle.
The impact proved fatal for both drivers. While Solis succumbed to his injuries at the scene, the driver of the GMC, a 38-year-old Oak Hills woman, passed away shortly after being transported to a hospital.
Additionally, a passenger in the GMC sustained significant injuries and was hospitalized for treatment.
Sadly, Solis leaves behind two young children and his wife, Patricia Solis, who shared a statement expressing their profound loss, “Tommy’s unexpected departure has left us all heartbroken. Tommy was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and great love for his family. His greatest joy was being a father, and he embraced every moment.”
She also set up a GoFundMe page to help with the funeral and burial expenses.
