Brian Alan Ford and Lisa Joann Bacon, a Good Samaritan, Fatally Injured in an Interstate 5 Crash in Anderson
Anderson, CA (December 2, 2022) – Lisa Joann Bacon (46) of Orland and Brian Alan Ford (55) were identified as the fatalities in a crash on Interstate 5 in Anderson. According to KRCR, the crash occurred around 5:30 pm on Thanksgiving.
Brian Alan Ford was involved in a prior crash on I-5 and was helped by Lisa Joann Bacon when a third driver fatally struck them in Anderson.
The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal crash involving three motorists on Interstate 5 in Anderson.
The first victim, identified as Brian Alan Ford, slid into the center median after losing control of his motorcycle in a prior crash with a deer. He sustained serious injuries.
Lisa Joann Bacon, a good samaritan, was identified as the second victim. She stopped in the center median and got out of her car to help Ford.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the CHP, a third driver reached the area and fatally struck both victims. The driver reportedly did not see the injured motorcyclist and the good samaritan rendering aid.
This incident remains under investigation by the CHP.
