Shingletown, CA (November 3, 2023) – A Shingletown crash in Shasta County left three fatal, including Morgan Harvin (43) and Charity Kerstetter (43) of Shingletown. Two minors also sustained injuries from the collision. According to Record Searchlight, the crash happened on October 31.

Meanwhile, the 17-year-old girl who died in the crash was not released.
According to Chief Deputy Coroner Lt. Tyler Thompson, the two adults, a 17-year-old and two children, were traveling in the westbound lane of Highway 44 at 7:55 p.m. last Tuesday.
Their Toyota 4Runner hit a deer on the highway, just east of the Brush Creek Lane intersection. The SUV then turned to the right and struck a large pine tree.
Moreover, the county hasn’t released further information about two children, both under age 13, who the California Highway Patrol said were seriously injured in the collision.
Additionally, first responders took the two children to Mercy Medical Center in Redding, where they were then flown to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento for further treatment, CHP Sgt. Ken Giordano said.
Furthermore, the coroner’s office scheduled post-mortem exams on those who died, including Morgan Harvin and Charity Kerstetter.
