California City, CA (October 6, 2022) – Inez Figueroa-Villegas (66) and Airam Betzay Delgado (22) of Palmdale were identified as the fatalities in a head-on collision in California City. According to KGET, the crash occurred around 6:15 am.

The California City Police Department responded to a fatal head-on collision at the intersection of California City Boulevard and Yerba Boulevard in California City.
Two drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities recently identified the first driver as Inez Figueroa-Villegas (66) and the second driver as Airam Betzay Delgado (22) of Palmdale.
According to the investigators, speed and alcohol may be factors in the crash.
An unidentified person was also hospitalized following the crash. Their condition is currently unknown.
