Redlands, CA (November 27, 2023) – Valerie Ibarra (38) of Montebello succumbed to fatal injuries in a Redlands hit-and-run crash after a Kia and a semi-truck collided. According to The Sun, the accident occurred at around 6:25 a.m. on Saturday.

Valerie Ibarra, a 38-year-old Montebello resident, succumbed to fatal injuries after a Kia and a semi-truck collided on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Kia driver fled the scene after the crash.
The incident occurred around 6:25 a.m. when a black Kia, traveling east on San Bernardino Avenue, ran a red light and collided with a northbound semi-truck on Alabama Street in an unincorporated area near Redlands.
The impact left the Kia mangled, and emergency responders had to extricate one passenger.
Furthermore, all three occupants were transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center in critical condition.
Unfortunately, Valerie Ibarra, 38, succumbed to her injuries, while the other two victims, a 31-year-old from San Bernardino and a 38-year-old from Redlands, remained in critical condition.
Additionally, the truck driver sustained minor injuries.
Meanwhile, authorities are actively seeking the identification of the Kia driver involved in this Redlands hit-and-run, resulting in the death of Valerie Ibarra.
One of the passengers was the owner of the Kia. The authorities have yet to determine why that person was not driving, why the driver fled, or what his relationship was with the passengers.
