71-Year-Old Bicyclist Yuan Li Killed After Fatal Collision Involving an SUV
Fremont, CA (July 1, 2022) – Yuan Li (71) was identified as the victim of a fatal collision involving an SUV in Fremont. According to East Bay Times, the incident reportedly happened around 5:25 pm on Wednesday.
Yuan Li was walking his bicycle in the bike lane when an SUV struck him.
On Wednesday, the Fremont Police reported a fatal collision involving a bicyclist and an SUV on Driscoll Road and Carmen Street in Fremont.
Then, the bicyclist, later identified as Yuan Li, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to a statement from Fremont Police Spokesman Lt. Ricardo Cortes, Li was a pedestrian walking his bicycle on the designated bike lane of Driscoll Road. Then, an SUV drifted into the lane and struck the victim.
Meanwhile, the SUV driver stayed at the scene and sustained no injuries.
