Yuba County, CA (April 13, 2024) – A Yuba County car crash on Highway 70 killed a 55-year-old Olivehurst man after hitting a tree. Another car also crashed into his vehicle. According to Fox40, the crash occurred at around 1:20 a.m. on Saturday.

A Yuba County car crash claimed the life of a 55-year-old man from Olivehurst after his vehicle hit a tree and collided with another car.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the man was traveling south on Highway 70 in his red Nissan sedan when he veered off the freeway at the Feather River exit for reasons yet to be determined.
His vehicle careened off the ramp, colliding with several trees before rolling back onto the freeway and obstructing both lanes of traffic. The driver tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Subsequently, 20-year-old Shelby Litte of Vacaville, operating a white 2015 Audi A4, was traveling southbound under the influence of alcohol when she collided with the previously crashed Nissan.
Authorities then arrested her on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI and took into custody at the Yuba County jail.
Meanwhile, the identity of the deceased Nissan driver in this Yuba County car crash is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
