Car Strikes 4 Pedestrians in Bloomington Killing Three and Injuring One
BLOOMINGTON, CA (June 24, 2018) – Three pedestrians were killed after being struck by a car Sunday evening in Bloomington, CHP officials said.
The incident happened around 8:40 p.m. on 18261 Slover Avenue, just East of Locust Avenue
According to an initial report, a Dodge Challenger was traveling eastbound on Slover Avenue when it veered out of control and traveled onto a northbound sidewalk. It then struck four pedestrians before slamming into a brick wall.
Three of the 4 pedestrians suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. The fourth pedestrian was injured and taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
The car driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the CHP.
Slover Avenue was closed between Locust and Maple avenues while officers worked on the scene.
It is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol were factors in the crash. Investigation of fatal this incident is still ongoing.
