Demetrios Papanikolas is a skilled litigator with over 30 years of experience and multiple jury verdicts. His verdicts include a $1.25 Million jury verdict for the victim of a motorcycle accident. Demetrios is also part of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
Membership in ABOTA is by exclusive invitation and is extended only to trial lawyers who have established a strong history of success and a distinguished reputation. Candidates must also meet specific qualifications, including a minimum of ten completed civil jury trials as lead counsel with either a verdict or a hung jury.
He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum whose membership is limited to those attorneys who have obtained a jury verdict of over $1 Million. During his legal career, he has won jury trials in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, San Joaquin and Ventura counties and successfully settled litigated cases involving significant injuries in Alameda, Contra Costa, Kern, Orange, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma counties.
In addition to having been a licensed attorney in California since 1990, Demetrios has been licensed in Maryland since 1994 as well as with the Federal Ninth Circuit and five Federal District Courts.
Demetrios received his Bachelor of Arts degree with multiple honors, including Phi Beta Kappa, from Vassar College. He then attended the UCLA School of Law where he was recognized as a Distinguished Advocate in the Moot Court Honors Program. Demetrios began practicing law as a civil litigator at a prominent business and construction law firm in Los Angeles. After a few years of successful practice in the area of construction litigation, he began representing injured victims in personal injury matters. He gained significant experience representing injured motorcyclists while working for a prominent motorcycle injury firm.
Since 2001, Demetrios has volunteered his time with the Los Angeles Superior Court. He has also served on the Board of Trustees of Crestview Preparatory School including as Board Chair.
