Vehicular Damages Reported in Pinole Traffic Crash on 80 Freeway
PINOLE, CA (August 2, 2018) – At least one person was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Tuesday afternoon, July 31.
According to a California Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred around 11:40 p.m. on westbound lanes of 80 Freeway, between Appian Way Off-ramp and Pinole Valley Road.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a black Chevrolet Sedan and a four-door silver Cadillac vehicle. The black Sedan had major front-end damage and the Cadillac sustained rear damage.
Paramedics were called to the crash scene and confirmed that minor injuries were sustained in the accident.
Lane No. 2 were blocked by the wreck and lanes No. 3 and 4 were closed shut down. Only lane No. 1 remained open during the investigation and clearing operations.
An investigation is still ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and the liability.
